Monaco is a highly desirable place to live for a variety of reasons, from its world-class safety to its advantageous tax benefits. At the same time, the Principality only has a limited amount of space to build on, with an area of just over 2km2. That is why, when new property developments in Monaco are constructed, the progress of these buildings is followed with close interest.
Over the last century, Monaco has expanded its territory through two extensions built into the sea. The first extension was the Fontvieille district and the latest is the Eco-district, Mareterra, which will be delivered at the end of 2024.
